How does one effectively express gratitude for a bonus of five years of life? How does one express adequate, heartfelt thanks for…
…peaceful evenings watching a good movie in a cozy, peaceful home with precious loved ones?
…for stunningly beautiful Oregon sunrises and the grandeur of Pacific Ocean waves and sunsets?
…for tasty, delicate persimmons fresh from the tree and red, juicy watermelon dripping down your chin?
…for that first sip of a foamy latte fresh from the barista’s hand?
…for the bright green leaves and the heady scent of Spring after a dreary winter?
…for the precious smiles and hugs of those we love?
…for early morning walks surrounded by the majesty of Creation?
Really…how do we express such gratitude? What I know I can do is to look up and say thank you, and to be the kindest, most patient man I can be, though I know I fail.
